Ron Smith, R.A., AIA

Ron Smith brings to the SAG Consulting Team over thirty-one years of public government service with the City of St. Louis. He has held the position of Executive Director of Operations in the Mayor's Office for the City of St. Louis for five years, and was responsible for overseeing the entire operation of twenty-two city government departments. He served as Building Commissioner for the City of St. Louis for over ten years, and has over twenty-six years in code enforcement. He is a licensed architect in Missouri and Illinois, with a B.A. degree from the Washington University School of Architecture, where he also served as an instructor for nineteen years in the Architectural Technology Program. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), and the International Code Council.
During his tenure with City government, Ron was responsible for such innovative initiatives as creating and implementing the region's first One-Stop-Shop for Permits in the City's Building Division is a process that continues today to be a major success for contractors and design professionals. He also spearheaded the development and implementation of a highly successful and critically acclaimed lead paint poisoning prevention effort for the City of St. Louis. His portfolio also includes extensive work with the City's three pension systems; considerable experience with both local and state legislators; labor/management negotiations; project manager for the city's red light camera photo enforcement program; and, major involvement with the City's overall budgeting process, including overseeing the development of a comprehensive plan to help the City of St. Louis address the impact of the recent global recession and experience economic recovery.
Barry Adelstein

In addition to his involvement with SAG Consulting, Barry is also a partner in SAG Properties LLC. SAG Properties owns small commercial and residential real estate. All of the commercial properties are located in the Locust Business District and in the City of St. Louis.
Barry was appointed by the Mayor to serve on the City of St. Louis Demolition Contractor's Certification Board, and he was also appointed on the Locust Business District Board as a commissioner. He was recently chosen to be a member of the Ninth District Police Business Association.
He is a State of Missouri Licensed Real Estate Broker.
He graduated with BA degree from Rockhurst College, Kansas City, MO, in 1964 and received a Masters degree from St. Louis University in 1969.
M. Thomas Hall
Architect
M. Thomas Hall is a graduate of the University of Kansas School of Architecture. He holds a National Council of Architects Registration Boards Certificate and is currently licensed in 18 states. He founded MTH architects 37 years ago and has since designed more than 600 projects totalling over 12,000,000 square feet.
His practice has been diverse in nature including office buildings, shopping centers, office warehouses, manufacturing plants,schools, day care, nursing homes, funeral homes, residences, apartments, churches, medical buildings, hotels, banks, conference centers and restaurants.
His practice has been centered on the concept of design excellence and client relations. He has numerous clients that he has designed multiple projects for over a long period of time. His projects have ranged in size from small projects to $25,000,000 projects, and he is looking foreward to the next two or 300 projects.
Gregory Cuddihee

Gregory Cuddihee received a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Kansas and a Masters of Architecture from Washington University in St. Louis. He has been an adjunct faculty member at Washington University for the past 10 years. He teaches graduate and undergraduate students in representation and the construction of diverse building types. Gregory has an extensive range of architectural experience, from mixed-use and commercial, to educational and institutional, produced with award winning firms. His passion for detail is further realized in his art where he has exhibited in galleries from Paris, France to New York, Chicago, Kansas City, and St. Louis.
Samuel J. Simon
Consultant
Sam Simon currently holds a position with Anheuser-Busch in their Security Department. He is also working as a consultant on local, state and national homeland security and disaster planning and preparedness initiatives. He is the former Administrator for Safety and Emergency Preparedness for St. Louis University, and the former Director of Public Safety for the City of St. Louis, where he oversaw the operation of the largest operating department in the City of St. Louis (Fire Department, Building Division, Division of Corrections, City Emergency Management Agency, and Excise Division). Sam served over 22 years with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, including a tour with the Drug Enforcement Administration, Department of Justice. He also served in various law enforcement command positions to include Commander of the Intelligence Division. He is a graduate of the 193rd session of the FBI National Academy and a graduate of the Naval Post Graduate School, Executive Leadership Program. He is a past adjunct faculty member of St. Louis University's School of Public Health. He has served on the East-West Gateway Council of Governments Board of Directors for the St. Louis Area Regional Response System. He is a past member of the Missouri Higher Education Committee assigned to the Governor's Homeland Security Advisory Council. Sam served for over two years as Chairman of the Board of Directors for UNITED FOR A BETTER ST. LOUIS, a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) public benefit corporation formed in May, 2010. Sam has been collaborating, providing input, and working with the SAG Consulting team for several years, and formally joined our team in November, 2012.
